The 2017 vintage

The first vats of Merlot began to reveal their potential on the 30th of September, just as the last Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were picked under a clear sunny sky.

This was an early-ripening vintage due to a warm summer with little rain. On the whole, 2017 was an excellent year both in terms of quality and quantity. The vineyards at Ségur de Cabanac in Saint-Estèphe and Moulin de la Rose in Saint-Julien, both located near the estuary, were fortunately not damaged by the frost that hit many other parts of Bordeaux. Initial tastings of the new wine show it to be beautifully fresh, fruity, and full-bodied.
